Piano player since the age of 8, Moe began playing guitar in 2013 before becoming a vocalist in 2016 specifically for Maven Hill.
Defining himself more as a composer than as a musician, his learning of the piano in more academic genres (baroque music, jazz) mixed with a passion for heavy live shows (rock and metal scenes, electronic music) now defines his musicial creed: always seek to craft interesting melodies without ever forgetting to incorporate more instinctive and live-oriented feelings (like grooviness or heaviness).
Influences: Stoner Rock, Psych Rock, Doom Metal, Sludge, Post Rock, Funk, Jazz, Techno
Kevin has been playing guitar as an amateur for years before joining Maven Hill in 2016, enjoying discovering new scales and learning tracks.
As a self-taught guitarist, he loves exploring music theory in order to improve the band's material.
Passionate about DAW's and mixing techniques in general, his studio approach of music helps the band enhance their compositions for more streaming-oriented purposes (panning, layers of instruments, harmonics, mixing, effects, etc...).
Influences: Prog Rock, Thrash Metal, Post Rock, Jazz, Death Metal, Hip-Hop, Blues
Yannick started learning drums at the age of 11. The rigor of the musical training quickly gave him the desire to improve his rhythmical practice thanks to the bass guitar, which will led him to join Maven Hill in 2014.
Particularly attracted by the catchy and groovy playing specific to funk bass players, Yannick tries to mix those "bass-centric" influences (Jazz, Disco & Funk) with more rock-oriented genres (Math, Doom or Stoner rock). As a consequence, he likes to let off steam with technical riffs as much as he likes to fully exploit the heaviness of his instrument.
Influences: Math Rock, Doom Metal, Post Rock, Funk, Jazz, Disco, House
Fascinated by the drums since his youngest age, Samuel quickly has an appetite for all musical genres that value the instrument (Metal, Jazz).
As a teenager, he learns the guitar in self-taught in order to apprehend musical theory.
This opening on a more melodic approach of music defines one of his goals for Maven Hill: provide a solid rhythmic base to the songs (with a lot of attack and groove) while still being in symbiosis with the rest of the band, since drums are considerered as any other melodic instrument since the early days of the band in 2013.
Influences: Metal, Hard Rock, Stoner Rock, Psych Rock, Jazz, Blues
